CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA -- SNL Financial LC has acquired leading utility research and analysis firm Regulatory Research Associates, Inc. (RRA).

Founded in 1982 and based in Jersey City, NJ, RRA produces two subscription-based products that include access to its experienced team of analysts. Regulatory Focus analyzes critical regulatory issues and actions in the electric and gas utility sectors and provides expert research and commentary to leading investment banks, investors, utilities, consultants, and government agencies. Utility Focus analyzes financial trends within the utility sector and provides in-depth research on the largest publicly traded utilities.
